About Me

My photo
Greater Kent Birder
I only started birding in spring 2007 so I'm still very much a novice at this game compared to most. I'm even more of a novice at photography which I started ~ mid 2008 though I've been lucky with associated with some great tutors in both birding and photgraphy. My main birding sites are Sandwich (due the the SBBO and the presence of coffee) where I often bird with the warden Ian Hodgson followed by Grove where I bird with Martyn Wilson, Mark Chidwich and Steve Ashton though I do visit most of Kents better birding sites as well as Rye Harbour/Pett Levels. Occassionally a small group of us go a little further afield (Gigrin Farm, Bempton, Marquenterre) to try our luck photographing some different birds. I only have a Kent list hence everywhere in mainland Gt Britain and in Northern France is in Greater Kent - hence the title of the blog. I have birded in Spain, Antigua and Tobago but I'm still looking for a way to include what I saw in these places on my Kent list.
